The barn pictured in the Wethersfield Woodcraft logo is located on the Jones Farm in Upstate New York. Fred grew up in the small community of Holland Patent, or Wethersfield as it was called when settled. He is one of the youngest of eight children. The Jones Farm was a working farm with cows, goats, chickens, pigs, etc. Hard work and chores from a young age were expected. Haying, milking cows, cleaning the barn, tending animals were the before and after school activities, and came before anything else.
